Kill the fur trade not the animals for fur
The fact that fur is still unashamedly used by designers and is a part of modern fashion is a curious and alarming thing. The horrors the animals endure to make a garment out of their fur have been relatively well documented in the press and a number of high profile advertising campaigns have sought to address the issue and educate people, however the use of fur continues in the fashion industry.
However a number of celebrities still parade around in fur despite being aware of the fact that millions of people follow their every fashion move and that by wearing real fur they are setting an irresponsible example to their fans. Kim Kardashian for example will passionately denies rumours of botox injections, butt implants and cosmetic surgery saying that we should be happy in our own skin, yet she is also happy to send out the message that stealing another creatures skin to wear as a fashion item is acceptable!
